Just outside the perimeter of London connected to the city by the Central Line, lies Epping Forest. It is a refreshing surprise and a burst of greenery that seems unexpected so close to the busy urban centre. The fact that a person can wander freely here off the paths and well-trodden tracks is a real pleasure and contrast to the concrete and pavement that is not far away. The light and warmth of the forest in spring was the perfect place to explore and connect to nature.
